Who these terms are with

Knappleton LLC, a California limited liability company based in San Diego, California, of which Jason Knapp is the manager. In these terms, "Knappleton LLC" means that company and "Jason Knapp" means the individual. Contact: jason@jknapp.com.

Part 1 — Using the jknapp.com website

1. What the site is

jknapp.com is a personal and professional portfolio: writing, case studies, prototypes and reference material about product management and consulting work. It is provided for information. There is no account to create and nothing to buy.

2. Not professional advice

Articles, case studies, frameworks and tools on this site are general commentary, not professional advice, and not a recommendation for your situation. Nothing here creates a consulting, advisory, or client relationship. If you need advice about your own circumstances, engage someone — including Knappleton LLC — under an actual agreement.

3. Content and reuse

Unless a page says otherwise, the writing, designs and code samples on this site are the work of Jason Knapp and remain the property of Knappleton LLC. You are welcome to read it, quote it with attribution and a link, and share it. Republishing substantial portions as your own, or feeding the site wholesale into a commercial dataset, is not permitted without written permission.

Some pages describe work done for clients and employers. Trademarks, product names and logos belong to their owners and appear here to describe the work, not to imply endorsement.

4. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or anything behind a password on it. Don't use it to distribute malware or to harvest contact details for unsolicited mail.

5. Links to other sites

Links to third-party sites are for convenience. Knappleton LLC does not control them and is not responsible for their content, accuracy, or privacy practices.

6. Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as-is. It may be changed, moved, or taken down at any time without notice. Content can go out of date — an article written in one year may not describe how something works in the next, and no undertaking is given to keep it current.

Part 2 — Jason's AI Assistant

7. What it is, and what it is not

The application is a set of scripts running on one Mac under Knappleton LLC's physical control. It reads Jason Knapp's own Google accounts to do work he would otherwise do by hand — inbox triage, meeting briefings, transcript routing, consulting-time tracking, and document drafting.

It is not offered to the public, has no sign-up, no user accounts, no paid tier, and no other users. Nothing on this page is an offer by Knappleton LLC to provide a service to you. If you reached these terms from a Google consent screen, the account being authorized is one of Jason Knapp's own.

8. Who may authorize it

Only Jason Knapp may grant the application access, and only from a Google account that belongs to him. Where that account exists inside an organization he does not own — a client's Google Workspace, for example — the authorization is additionally subject to that organization's own policies, and its Workspace administrator may permit or block it at will. Knappleton LLC does not seek, and will not accept, an authorization from anyone else's account.

9. Scope of access

The application requests the narrowest permissions that let it do the work described in the Privacy Policy, Part 2 section 3. Authorizations for accounts inside a client's organization are read-only, without exception: the application cannot send, write, modify or delete anything in a client tenant.

10. Acceptable use

The application is used only for Knappleton LLC's own legitimate work. It is not used to access accounts or data Jason Knapp is not entitled to see, to circumvent an organization's security controls, to scrape or bulk-export a third party's data, or to send unsolicited mail. Outbound email is drafted for his review and is sent only on his explicit approval.

11. AI processing

Some tasks are performed by AI language models, either running locally on the same machine or by Anthropic's Claude through Jason Knapp's own authenticated session. Model output is treated as a draft for his review, never as an authority. See the Privacy Policy, Part 2 section 6.

12. Revocation and termination

Any authorization may be revoked at any time, by Jason Knapp or by the Workspace administrator of the organization the account belongs to, using the methods in the Privacy Policy, Part 2 section 9. Revocation is immediate and needs no notice to Knappleton LLC. Knappleton LLC may stop operating the application at any time, for any reason, with no notice to anyone.

Applies to both

13. Data handling

Data handling for the website and for the application is governed by the Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these terms by reference.

14. No warranty

The website and the application are provided by Knappleton LLC as-is and as-available, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. The application is internal automation, not production software; its output — summaries, drafts, time entries, attributions — can be wrong, and is reviewed rather than relied upon.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither Knappleton LLC nor its members, managers, officers or agents shall be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from the website or the application, their use, or their failure to operate. Any liability that cannot be so excluded rests with Knappleton LLC and not with any individual. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

16. Changes to these terms

These terms may change if the website or the application changes. The effective date at the top of the page is updated when they do, and the dated page is the record.

17. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
